Church Story
Calvary Chapel Oakland County’s story had its beginning in November, 1987, in the city of Royal Oak ,Michigan, with Pastor Jim Coy. The fellowship humbly met in the Royal Oak YMCA for the first two years. In 1989, the church was able to rent a building, across 11 mile road, to accommodate the growing church family. Within a few years, as the Lord saw fit, Pastor David Halan became Senior Pastor and by early 2001, the church moved its services to the Royal Oak Keller Middle School. However, during 2001, a former church building became available. Calvary Chapel Oakland County was able to purchase the church building and settled into its current location in Troy Michigan. It was in January 2007 that Pastor Bill DesRochers became Senior Pastor and has continued to lead Calvary Chapel Oakland County.
