Calvary Chapel Oakland County had its beginning in November, 1987, in the city of Royal Oak ,Michigan, with Pastor Jim Coy. The fellowship humbly met in the Royal Oak YMCA for the first two years. In 1989, the church was able to rent a building, across the 11 mile road, to accommodate the growing church family. Within a few years, as the Lord saw fit, Pastor David Halan became Senior Pastor and by early 2001, the church moved its services to the Royal Oak Keller Middle School. However, during 2001, a former church building became available. Calvary Chapel Oakland County was able to purchase the church building and settled into its current location in Troy Michigan.
